Mazu Swim: Swimwear for All

Updated: Sep 27, 2019

Naxos Island, Greece

Finding the right bathing suit has always been a problem for me. I’m lean but still curvy *eye roll*. I get it but the top is always a different size from the bottom and learning what looks good on my body is the hardest part of all. One of the first things I noticed when I came across the Mazu Swim website is they encourage you to shop by shape. They have suits for full bust, pear, hourglass, straight, and muffin top along with pics to see what each shape looks like. There is a size chart along with descriptions on how to take your measurements. They go a step further with offering a stylist free of charge that can answer your questions.

Mazu Swim made a big splash this summer after being featured in Oprah’s O Magazine‘s June issue for having “the season’s coolest trends and most stylish swimwear.”

A lot of swimwear companies design suits and then create a totally different line for plus sizes. Mazu swim designs with all women in mind, so every suit comes in each size. They also design from a women’s perspective. Mazu is the Chinese goddess of the sea. She is heroic, powerful, and fearless. The perfect female symbol for their company.

On their website they explain how and why they started the company. A lot of my blog focuses on empowering women, so this really stood out to me

“Our designs were also our way of empowering women, and this was especially important because at the time the body positive movement hadn’t begun, and there weren’t a lot of options for curvier and plus size women. We made body inclusivity our priority from the start, and we’re proud to be at the forefront of the movement.”
