Greece: In Photos

I want to share all our adventures and the amazing places we got to see on our trip to Greece. Here’s me trying to condense the 1000s of pics we took 😂 Enjoy!

First up Athens, Greece

The Acropolis

This was the view from our apartment‘s terrace. The Acropolis was a short 20 min walk.

This is the Odeon of Herodes Atticus overlooking all of Athens.

It was amazing seeing Athens from The Acropolis.

The wind may be blowing the smile from Ophelia’s face, but there’s no denying that view!

And just like that Day 1, hour 1 we checked The Parthenon off from our bucket list ✔

We discovered that Ophelia was more into rocks than anything on this trip.

Yup, still got her rocks.

We spent the rest of the day exploring our neighborhood for restaurants and playgrounds.

And of course waving to everyone! Ophelia loves saying hiiiiiiii.

We finished our first night on the terrace which would turn into a nightly ritual.

One of our favorite things to do was watch The Acropolis light up. It happened in sections and was so cool to see!

She’s ready for her day!

A couple mornings we had brunch at the Electra Metropolis. A friend of ours flew out to Athens to visit us and was staying there. We also got pool time on the rooftop of this amazing hotel while Tony was working and exploring Athens.

Exploring the neighborhood of Monastiraki!

Ophelia insists on leading the way.

Pool time and back on the rooftop of the Electra Metropolis.

The days were hot, so the best time to go to the playground is at night. The Acropolis is visible from everywhere in Athens. It‘s pretty epic.

Next up we traveled to Naxos, Greece. We took the 5 hour ferry. We arrived and this is the view from our balcony. Breathtaking!

The first thing we did was explore our new neighborhood.

Ophelia loved the alley ways and discovered going down stairs for the first time!

The next morning it was time to hit the beach!

This doll is ready for her day!

A star is born 🌟

After all the traveling, city life of Athens, and exploring sites it was nice to have a full day of relaxation.

The next day, we were ready to sight see again. We rented a car so that we could really explore the Island. Our first adventure was to Apollo’s Temple. It sits at the top of the hill on the port in Naxos, Greece.

It was so fun hiking with our little traveler.

Such great views!!

There’s a smile!

I just love watching Tony walk with her. I could watch this all day.

And we’re off!

Next we drove to the small village of Lionas in Naxos.

We had the most amazing food at this local restaurant right on the water.

The following day we explored the countryside of Drymalia.

I snapped this pic of The Temple of Demeter. The gate was locked so this was all we could see.

On the drive home we captured this full shot of Demeter’s Temple. So cool!

On the ride back to our hotel we saw what I can only describe as goats escaping! It took us a moment to figure out what was going on. We pulled over the rental car, snapped these images, and were cheering them on. Haha! Only in Greece.

We spent our last day on the beach!

We had the best time EVER!

Until next time!
