Empowering Women: Blessed in Greece
This is the sixth in my series where I feature brands founded by women of color who empower other women through fashion. Today I’m spotlighting Blessed Designs whose founder is Sharmon Lebby.
Blessed Designs offers ethical and sustainable fashion and accessories for all women. The clothes are affordable and sizes go up to 3X. I’m wearing the Dolman top at Apollo’s Temple that stands above the port in Naxos, Greece.
I was immediately drawn to the cut and style of this top. I fell in love with it even more when I found out it was made from bamboo and hemp. The ink is water based and the top is made with all natural materials. Blessed Designs uses small businesses in their supply chain which is rare and makes sure that everything is ethically made. It’s refreshing wearing clothes that you know exactly what they are made of and where they are sourced.
They also have amazing accessories. I absolutely adore their earrings. I’m wearing the Sand & Sea earrings on the beach of Agios Prokopios in Naxos. They are unique and handmade from repurposed goods. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect accessory.
From now on when I wear them I will have the most wonderful memories of the Greek sand & the Aegean Sea.
Their website has their full story and vision that is worth the read, but I wanted to share this snippet “...Blessed Designs seeks to embrace women as they are, where they are. We aim to keep our prices low and energy high,
with clothing that you can be comfortable in while still being fashionable.”
